Can Ya Digg It! #1
Published on August 12, 2005 By qrush In Websites
This is going to be the start of a regular segment for the forum, Can Ya Digg It!, which will feature the most humorous link or two that I can find out on Digg, BoingBoing, or any other similar site. Right now I'm planning on publishing a Digg It two or three times a week, and that will vary on the amount of fresh content that becomes available to me. Have a nutty link that you think could make a few people laugh or actually might be of some productive use? (For the latter case, it better be very entertaining ) Send me an email and I'll be glad to throw it in the mix.

First up...it seems like Christopher Walken is running for President.

From a statement by Walken's agent, Toni Howard: "Mr. Walken has greatly admired the celebrities who have entered politics and he wants to be able to give a good name and reputation to the acting community as well as the political community. As for going national with this news we have not made any plans for the immediate future."

Hmm...you'd think someone plan an event like announcing your candidacy a little more than this. I wonder if he'll throw in some cowbell antics or maybe some mobster trash talking with his campaign speeches! No one is sure if this is real or fake yet, but if it's a hoax, that's one dedicated fan who would put this kind of effort into a silly site. I hope he gets an autographed picture or or a t-shirt at least.

Secondly...Ever gotten into an argument at the office about something stupid and tech related? Let's say that you and an IT guy disagreed about whether ATI or nVidia had the best video cards. Or maybe your brain decided to sleep in and you're nearly screaming at a co-worker because of a few buggy lines of code.

Well, never fear, I've found the solution for you: Geek Comebacks! Warning, use only when your side of an argument is falling apart, and you need to humiliate yourself before your opponent can do it for you. I'm definitely going to use these in the IRC if I get a chance!

More tomorrow!
